so i got these shoe for hunting light weight and water proof finally got to use this last weekend has rained for the last three days on sunday it cleared up out on the oregon coast range hop out of the truck and head up a old grass covered road about 10mins into the walk i feel a touch of moisture on my foot it happens might have got some water through the top keep walking another 10mins later and my feet are now wet i was bummed that these soaked through so fast out in damp grass for maybe 40mins and my feet are cold and soaked get back to the truck and have to ring my socks out put on my old 4" rockroosters had them for the last yr and to my surprise the side seam has pop a stitch on both shoes bummed however i contacted rock rooster and they are replacing both pairs i will change my star rating to a 5 if these shoes keep my feet dry as i will be back out hunting in November have yet to find a shoe that is oregon proof so i challenge Rock Rooster to make a waterproof hiker that can hold up to the oregon coast range wetness

Honestly,these are the most comfortable shoes/boots I can remember owning. This is my fifth pair of rock roosters but the first pair of new land hikers. I’ve had two pairs of the regular 3/4 top hiker/work boots, for me, no safety toe. I loved those and these new lands seem to feel even better.I’m a 57 year old cabinet maker and I am on my at least ten hrs a day, most of the time. So, foot wear is a high priority. I’ve tried most of the top brands,Merrill,Solomon and Danner. They are all great shoes, but there is just something about RRsThat make them special. I’m a huge fan!!!

I bought these for my husband for his roofing career but they only lasted about 6 work days. We thought these would be comfortable and sturdy as advertised they are indeed comfy for his feet but not as sturdy on steep roofs. They also say made in China on them so I doubt they are real Goodyear rubber.

First off - I normally wear Keen hiking boots but they are getting a little old.These Rockroosters seemed like a good choice. Very reasonably priced with good reviews.I wore them around the house for a while and they seemed good. So, the next step was an outside walk paired with some marino wool hiking socks. After about 4,000 steps they felt pretty uncomfortable - so I went back to the car and switched footwear. Blaming it on thd socks I decided to give them another chance.My second walk I picked my most comfortable socks. Writesocks. Much better - at first. After about 3,000 steps - again, very uncomfortable. This time only on one foot. My little toe was squished into the next toe and I limped back to my car to change footwear.The toe box is a lot narrower than on the Keens.Going to see if these boots wear in after a few short walks.

I love these boots. Wear them almost daily and they still look just about as good as they did when I bought them. Wear them fishing, boating, beach, work and they are still waterproof. By far the best sub $120 pair of shoes I have owned. Most shoes and boots don't last 6 months before the tread is gone.
